Education and Experience:
Master’s Degree in Irrigation Engineering and a California State Engineer-in-Training
Certification.
Job Description:
Performing complex engineering
calculations by analyzing field data; Providing project documentation of
monitoring results of various components of agricultural systems such as
soil, soil moisture, plant, weather conditions; Investigating field
problems affecting operations and maintenance functions and developing
solutions using principles of irrigation engineering and soil-plant-water
relationship concepts; Reviewing completed work and determining solutions
for difficult problems; Preparing special engineering studies and reports;
Coordinating with agricultural scientists, irrigation experts from various
Universities to develop innovative methods to support environmental
remediation projects related to agriculture, conservation of water; Ensuring the plans comply with the local
Government Standards; Researching publications and industry information
sources to develop new ideas and preparing project proposals.

Civil/Agricultural Engineer
Until filled
Must be highly
motivated and able to work independently. Degree in civil/agricultural
engineering or related field required. Current California PE Civil
required. Field experience in irrigation and drainage preferred. Good
computer, writing, and communication skills a must. Clean DMV record and
current California Driver's License.
Excellent opportunity
to earn valuable experience in technical consulting and resource
management. Complete a diverse array of challenging projects in fields of
water resources, dairy waste management, and production agriculture in a
timely and professional manner. Communicate effectively with clients and
company personnel. Take on project management responsibilities and develop
new business. Perform data collection duties under field conditions.
Specific tasks include design of irrigation and drainage systems, dairy
lagoon design, project management, data management, field data collection
and analysis, and reporting.
Agronomic Field Sampler
Summer 2008
Immediate opening for
three (3) part time field samplers. Minimum age of 18 years, dependable
vehicle, valid driver’s license and insurance required. Hourly wage plus
mileage. Prior field or farming experience desired but not required.
